Government packages & support

The Government has put in place a number of measures and packages to help businesses affected by the Covid-19 coronavirus. Among the support available is a wage subsidy for impacted businesses and a new leave payment scheme. NZTE has also developed a service for its export customers to provide them with bespoke professional services, including business continuity planning and business remodelling, to help them manage the impacts of Covid-19 on their business. As part of wider government efforts to keep freight moving, NZTE is also supporting co-ordination of some additional flights to deliver freight capacity. There are also a number of additional resources available through the Regional Business Partner (RBP) Network to help your business through the Covid-19 response.

COVID-19: $17.2b economic response package

The New Zealand Government has expanded it's multi-billion support package in an announcement on 23 March 2020.
